The role of Misurata University in activating sustainable development from the point of view of its faculty members

Abstract
The study aims to identify the role of Misurata University and its contribution to activating sustainable development by improving
the quality of life, because of its significant and effective impact on the social, environmental and economic aspects of society, of
which the faculty members are part.
In view of the great role that universities play through their educational institutions in achieving sustainable economic and
educational development, which is positively reflected on the surrounding environment.
The problem of the study was identified in the following questions:
- What is the role of Misurata University in activating sustainable development from the point of view of faculty members at the Faculty of Arts?
Are there statistically significant differences attributable to the variable (academic degree - years of experience) among faculty members?
What are the procedural proposals to activate the role of Misurata University for sustainable development from the point of view of the faculty members?
The study used the descriptive approach, as well as a tool that was prepared in advance by Dr. Omar Al-Qizani, which included a number of fields, including (the social field, the economic field, the environmental field, and the technological field) and each field contains a number of paragraphs, and they were applied to All faculty members at the Faculty of Arts, Misurata University, numbered (175).
The study adopted the statistical methods represented in the arithmetic mean and standard deviation, and the study reached the most important results:
- There is a general weakness of the role of Misurata University in activating sustainable development from the point of view of its faculty members.
- There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) attributed to the educational qualification variable in favor of the (PhD) category in all fields of study.
- There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) attributed to the variable years of experience in favor of the category (15 years and more) in all fields of study due to the variable years of experience.
Through the results that have been reached, procedural proposals have been developed to activate the role of the university for sustainable development, which will have a positive impact on the
surrounding environment.
