Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the level of social support for families with special needs at the Touch of Life Center for Rehabilitation and Education of People with Special Needs in Tripoli in the light of the following dimensions: (informational support, emotional support, procedural support), then search for statistically significant differences in the level of social support and its dimensions due to the variables ( gender, monthly income level of the family), and the research sample consisted of (120) families with special needs, followed the descriptive analytical approach, and used the questionnaire to collect data from the research sample. The search yielded the following results; - The level of social support for families with special needs at the Touch of Life Center for Rehabilitation and Education of People with Special Needs in Tripoli in the field: (informational - emotional - procedural) came in moderate degrees. - There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) in the level of social support for families with special needs at the Touch of Life Center for Rehabilitation and Education of People with Special Needs in Tripoli, due to the two variables (gender, in favor of the male sample members - and the level of monthly income of the family, in favor of the average income.)
