Abstract

For what is intended and sought is to indicate the importance of indexing written texts. When the thirst of many researchers was fed up; They did not realize its importance, and they did not care about it, nor they look after it. And Salah al-Din al-Munajjid is one of the imams of this matter, and the knight of this field. So the clarity of his grace and the height of his heels in this sections was with presentation, analysis, and criticism. This is because the man is one of the artists of indexing, especially when compared to others in this context. Thus, it appears to the tuner and the violator in the investigative approach that the nation must take care of its heritage and preserve it without fear if this plan is well prepared, according to precise criteria and strict standards. The aim was to highlight the method of the al-Munajjid in indexing the text, adjusting it, and commenting on it. I followed the analytical approach based on dismantling the basic elements of the subject, and then studying it in an in-depth manner through simple interpretation, criticism, and deduction. Considering this, we concluded, by partial method, that the indexes of manuscripts are the guiding guide that limits intellectual production, and allows every investigator, researcher, and student to access the written copies, and informs him of the places where they are preserved in the world.
