The seven issues in which Ibn al-Anbari agreed with the Kufis, through his book Al-Insaf on the matters of disagreement between the Basrans and the Kufis.

Abstract

The seven issues in which Ibn al- Anbari agreed with the kufans in his book "AL-Inaaf fi Masa il al-khilaf " between the Basrans and the kufans. Ibn al-Anbari is considered one of the prominent scholars who contributed to enriching the library of Arabic grammar. His book " Al-insaaf " included one hundred and twenty –one issues . he agreed with the kufans in only seven issues . The evidence of his agreement is mentioned after stating his judgment with the phrase (and the answer is according to the Basrans) at the end of the issue ,while the rest of the issues contained the phrase(the answer is according to the words of the kufans). This phrase is evidence of the many issues in which he agreed with the basrans . the book "Al-Insaaf" came after the existence of opinions that required finding the laws that govern them. It was characterized by enjoyable discussions leading to diverse ideas, sometimes conflicting and sometimes harmonious, until they crystallized into treatment that addressed and closed a gap, leading to scientific maturity and methodological clarity in establishing the pen. As for the seven issues that contained these controversies , they are : (the tenth- the eighteenth –the ninety-seventh-the one hundred and first –the one hundred and sixth ). These issues were no lacking in seriousness,variety, comprehensiveness in formatuion, and phrasing of trends. They also linked the components of a single issue by clarifying the intent, depth of thought ,and farsightedness. The agreement of some Basran grammarians with the opinion of the Kufan grammarians, and vice versa, is nothing but evidence of the establishment of a linguistic system. These issues testify of themselves ,aand their effects are no less in their dimension. From the content of their debates, a creative cognitive enrichment emerged. The expressive tongu for grammar and its topic was the most abundant material that presented colors of thought , and even the starting point for entering the science of grammar.
