The Impact of Social Media on the Dissemination of Visual Arts

Abstract
The study aimed to explore the impact of social media on the dissemination of visual arts through the following axes: identifying the extent of social media’s influence on the spread of visual arts compared to traditional means, examining the effect of social media platforms on the styles and production of visual artists, exploring the role of digital interaction (likes and comments) in evaluating artworks and their aesthetic value, and identifying the main challenges faced by visual artists when using social media, particularly concerning intellectual property rights. The descriptive method was adopted for its suitability to the study objectives. The study reached the following results: The study revealed that social media significantly contributed to increasing the reach of artworks to a wider audience compared to traditional means. The results indicated that artists adapted their production and artistic styles to suit the nature of digital display and online audience behavior. The study showed that digital interaction, such as likes and comments, contributes to enhancing the visibility of artworks and highlighting the artist. The research concluded that one of the main challenges facing artists is the difficulty of protecting intellectual property rights.
