The Impact of Religious Employment in the Poetry of Ahmed Rafiq Al-Mahdawi

Abstract

The employment of the religious heritage in Arabic poetry is an established and remarkable feature of its poetic heritage, and this is due to the strong relationship between the poet and his Qur’an. Therefore, religious employment is considered an expressive means through which the poet chooses religious heritage to express the situations he experienced in his life, and which had a role in the religious heritage.
The Libyan poet represents many creative manifestations that express the depth of poetic sensitivity. He employed this remarkable use through his poetry, and this research discusses this aspect, God willing.
The poet employed Qur’anic, Prophetic, social, and ethical elements within his poetic works. This demonstrates his ability to employ religious heritage effectively. He employed it in a variety of forms. Ahmed Rafiq Al-Mahdawi was not merely a poet who mastered words; rather, his poetry was distinguished by his frequent invocation of the Holy Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah.
