The Role of the Family Institution in Reinforcing Tribalism in Society: A Field Study on a Sample of Heads of Households in Al-Qayqab Municipality.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the role of the family institution in promoting tribalism in society, specifically in the Al-Qayqab municipality, a suburb of Al-Bayda city. The study adopted a descriptive approach, and a random sample of (100) individuals was selected from the study population, which consisted of heads of households in the Al-Qayqab municipality. A questionnaire was used as a means of collecting data from the study sample. The study yielded several results, including: It is clear from the study that the causes of tribalism in the study sampleThis was due to socialization and the human tendency towards tribalism. The study also shows that the family's role in promoting tribalism was significant, with a mean score of 18.449. The study recommended several measures, including: A- Encouraging families to promote the values ​​of tolerance and mutual respect among individuals from different tribal backgrounds. B- Educating children about the importance of cultural and tribal diversity and explaining the dangers resulting from tribal fanaticism.
