Video Games and Their Impact on Academic Achievement

Abstract
This study aims to achieve a set of interconnected scientific and practical objectives. It begins by examining students' use of electronic games, identifying the most frequently played types, and determining the daily time spent playing these games and their impact on other academic activities. It also aims to identify the motivations behind students' engagement with these games and to study demographic differences in their use according to age, gender, and academic level. Regarding effects and outcomes, this study seeks to analyze the impact of electronic games on academic achievement, evaluate their relationship to the development of mental and cognitive skills, and explore their role in stimulating creativity and critical thinking. Furthermore, it aims to identify their impact on students' social and interactive behavior with their peers. The study concludes by proposing effective educational recommendations to mitigate the negative effects of these games and enhance their positive contributions to supporting the educational process.
