Abstract

This research addresses the topic of family cohesion in light of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, as they represent the fundamental pillars in building a sound Islamic society and play a vital role in limiting manifestations of social disintegration. The study highlights the care given by the Qur’an and the Sunnah to the family through the establishment of values of affection and mercy, the affirmation of the principle of mutual responsibility among its members, and the regulation of rights and duties between spouses, as well as between parents and children, in a manner that ensures family stability. The research also sheds light on the educational and social approaches guided by the Qur’an and the Sunnah in addressing family conflicts, promoting dialogue, justice, and good companionship, and clarifies their impact on preventing behavioral deviations and social problems. The study concludes that adherence to the guidance of the Qur’an and the Sunnah in building the family directly contributes to strengthening social bonds, protecting society from disintegration, and achieving social security and human solidarity.
