Tourism potentials and Their Impact on Development in Mesallata: A Study in Tourism Geography

Abstract

This research aims to study the tourism potentials and their impact on devlopment in the region of Masallata as one of the Libyan areas that possesses diverse tourism resources, including natural historical and cultural attraction The research problem lies in the weak exploitation of these tourism potentiels despite their importance in supporting economic and social development The study highlights the tourism resources available in Masallata such as its mountainous Landscape, moderate climate archaeological sites and cultural heritage it also examines the role of these resources in stimulating the local economy. creating job opportunities, and improving infrastructure and puplic services The research adopeted the descriptive analytical method through analyzing data and information related to tourism and Local development in the region it also sought to identify the main obstacles facing tourism development including weak infrastructur of investment and insufficient tourism promotion The study concluded that Masallata possesses important tourism potentials capable of contributing to local development if proply invested This can be achieved through improving tourism services encouraging investment preserving natural and archaeological sites and implementing sustainable development plans that support the toursim sector and enhance economic and social development in the region.
