The Verbal and Nominal Sentence in the Poem 'Amr's Misery' from the Diwan of Al-Hamra' – A Grammatical Study

Abstract

This research examines the verbal and nominal sentences in the poem "Amr's Misery" in terms of their definition, structure, and meaning. The analysis reveals that the verbal sentence predominates in expressing movement, conflict, and suffering, while the nominal sentence is used to denote stability and state of meaning. The research demonstrates that the use of both sentences is intentional and contributes to constructing the overall meaning of the poem. The research recommends the importance of linking grammatical structure and meaning in the study of poetic texts, while utilizing modern linguistic methodologies.
