Sustainable dynamic space in changing interior spaces

Abstract
This study explores the concept of "sustainable dynamic spatial adaptation" as a contemporary interior design approach to address the rigidity of interior spaces, which often leads to functional obsolescence and increased economic and environmental waste from repetitive renovations. The research aims to establish a scientific framework defining the principles of this adaptation, analyze its relationship with enhancing functional efficiency and comprehensive sustainability, and demonstrate the role of flexible technology in supporting spatial transformation. Employing a descriptive-analytical methodology, the study reviews academic literature and innovations in adaptive systems. It hypothesizes a significant positive relationship between implementing dynamic spatial mechanisms—such as movable partitions and smart furniture—and maximizing usability while extending the design's lifespan and reducing resource consumption. The significance of this research lies in providing a theoretical and practical guide for designers and stakeholders, contributing to minimizing environmental costs and improving indoor environmental quality in changing spaces.
