The Foundations of Marxist Political Philosophy

Abstract

Marxism, as a comprehensive political philosophy, originated with the German philosopher Karl Marx, with contributions from his comrade Friedrich Engels. The foundations of this philosophy are based on three schools of thought: the German, the French, and the English. It also posits the existence of classes historically linked to the means of production, and a struggle between these classes that will inevitably lead societies to the dictatorship of the proletariat through revolution. This study provides an explanatory and detailed examination of these ideas and the foundations upon which Marxist philosophy is built. It also offers a fundamental analysis of these ideas and foundations, exploring their origins and how Karl Marx engaged with and incorporated them into his philosophical project.
