Islamic Education and Academic Achievement of Youth in the Light of Digital Transformation: Controls and Impacts

Abstract

The internet has become an integral part of youth life in our contemporary era, bringing with it immense opportunities for learning, knowledge, and communication, while simultaneously posing significant challenges to Islamic educational efforts in raising the youth. Within this vast digital space, it is imperative to establish clear and well-considered controls to ensure the sound Islamic upbringing of youth, and to understand the positive and negative impacts that the internet can exert on their faith, morals, and behavior. In this research, I addressed the dominant role of the internet in light of digital transformation and its growing impact on the upbringing and education of youth in accordance with the societal Islamic principles and values. I highlighted the challenges facing the family and society in dealing with these developments. In other aspects of the research, I explored the broad horizons opened by digital transformation for learning and knowledge, which contribute to enhancing academic achievement in ways that were unavailable to previous generations. The research is divided into two main sections, each containing two sub-sections, addressing the research topic from various angles.
