Abstract

There are many goals of the international units behind the pursuit of acquiring nuclear weapons, including those that have succeeded in acquiring them, including those who announced their intention to possess them, in which the supreme interests of the state entity overlap with the personality phases of the leaders and their ambitions, but they all agree in one goal, which is to gain strength and accumulate it for greater effectiveness and deterrence. The terrifying results of the use of nuclear weapons have opened the appetite of many countries to possess it, driven by the desire to possess strength, deter opponents, and achieve the highest goals of the state entity, where a number of scientists of the Manhattan Project contributed to leaking information on how to make a nuclear weapon to break the arms monopoly by the Americans and create mutual deterrence. The world's harbingers today are represented by wars and conflicts, regional blocs here and there, and the accumulated oppression of many countries as a result of the current international system, where the American hegemony portends a multipolar world, which increases the likelihood of the spread of nuclear weapons possession to countries, and therefore the likelihood of the outbreak of a nuclear war, because the more the number of countries possessing nuclear weapons, the greater the hypothesis of conflict .not all nuclear powers have the same protection and control systems from those weapons falling into the wrong hands. The UN efforts to prevent nuclear proliferation remain efforts without real results until now, as long as the nuclear powers, including those who procrastinate and those who refuse to abide by them, the saying that security and peace in the world are strengthened by the presence of nuclear weapons is something of an exaggeration .if nuclear weapons succeed in preventing a clash between the great powers, this does not negate the hypothesis of its occurrence at all.
