The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Stages of Criminal PROCEEDINGS

Abstract

This study aims to explain the concept of artificial intelligence and how it can be utilized at all stages of criminal cases, whether before trial, during it, or after the verdict is issued. The goal is to enhance the social justice system and improve its performance. Artificial intelligence algorithms and their various applications have become an essential factor in gathering criminal evidence through prediction and identifying suspects and their images, assisting in decisionmaking, and expediting the resolution of criminal cases. However, the use of this technology raises several questions regarding privacy protection, algorithmic bias, and ensuring individual rights. This study relies on a critical analytical approach and concludes that artificial intelligence has the potential to become an integral part of all stages of criminal case processing
