The Role of Health Education in Raising Awareness about Diabetes Prevention from the Perspective of Community Health Students

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the role of health education in raising awareness about the prevention of diabetes from the perspective of community health students. The study sample consisted of 103 male and female students. The descriptive analytical method was employed, and a questionnaire was used to collect data from the study sample. The study reached the following conclusions: -The role of a healthy diet in preventing diabetes, from the perspective of community health students, was rated highly. -The role of physical exercise in preventing diabetes, from the perspective of community health students, was rated highly. -The role of personal hygiene in preventing diabetes, from the perspective of community health students, was rated highly. -There are statistically significant differences in the role of health education in raising awareness about the prevention of diabetes from the perspective of community health students, according to the variables of gender (in favor of male participants) and marital status (in favor of single participants).
