Abstract

Most Libyan cities face a number of problems and challenges, represented by the poor distribution of public services in general and educational services in particular, as well as their concentration in residential neighborhoods and the failure to observe the protected planning standards set by the Ministry of Planning in distributing them in line with the population increase and urban expansion and the population’s needs for these services The research included a study of the reality of educational services in the city of Al-Ajeilat for the year 2021 AD, through a number of efficiency indicators and in application to determine the degree of their efficiency and suitability of local planning standards that meet the needs of the residents of the city of Ajilat. Planning standards for the Ministry of Planning for educational services,and it was found that there is a clear deficiency in the volume and distribution of services provided to the city’s residents, and this deficiency is not a result of its presence, but also the result of the inability of the planning vision and the absence of future plans that take into account the increase in the size of the city’s population.
