Abstract
This study aimed to identify the role of the requirements for the formation and preparation of a teaching assistant as the second grade for a faculty member in the level of quality of professional performance at the Higher Institute of Science and Technology, Tarhuna. in higher education in Libya, and the study adopted the descriptive and analytical approach, and the questionnaire sheet was the main tool for collecting primary data, and a community of faculty members at the Higher Institute of Science and Technology Tarhuna were all targeted in a comprehensive survey sample, and the data was analyzed using the statistical program package for the analysis of social phenomena (SPSS) The suitability of the program to the nature of the study data. The study reached the most important results, the most important of which is the presence of a statistically significant positive relationship between the requirements for the formation and preparation of a teaching assistant as the second grade for a faculty member in the level of quality of professional performance.
