The Role of Strategic Human Resource Management Practices in Improving Employee Performance A Field Study at the Ministry of Local Government – Janzour Municipality

Abstract
This study aims to identify the role of strategic human resource management practices in improving employee performance through a field study conducted in the municipality of Janzour. The study adopted a descriptive approach and analytical methods, where data was collected using a questionnaire distributed to a random sample of (40) municipal employees from a total study population of (90). The data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical package The study reached a number of conclusions, most notably: that training and motivation policies play a clear role in raising the level of job commitment and improving performance. The study also found a positive correlation between strategic human resource management practices (human resource planning, recruitment, training, and motivation) and employee performance.
