Performance Analysis of the Cartwheel Skill Based on Selected Kinematic Variables among Women's Floor Gymnastics Athletes in Tripoli Cit

Abstract
The aim of this study was to analyze the biomechanical performance of the cartwheel movement in gymnastics among five young female gymnasts by examining two key variables: take-off angle and performance time, in addition to estimating the execution score (E-Score) according to the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) evaluation system. The study employed a motion analysis approach using HD slow-motion video recording without joint markers. The results showed that the optimal take-off angle ranged between 65° and 70°, while performance time ranged from 1.20 to 1.60 seconds. The findings also revealed that Seema achieved the highest execution score (8.3), whereas Hifa recorded the lowest score (7.7) due to a major fault during landing. The study confirmed a direct relationship between take-off angle and the efficiency of aerial rotation, as well as a relationship between performance time and explosive strength. The study recommends developing training programs that focus on improving take-off angles, enhancing muscular power, and refining landing techniques to achieve higher execution scores.
