The Level of Emotional Stability among Female Students at the Faculty of Education, Al-Ajilat

Abstract

This study addressed the issue of emotional stability among female students at the Faculty of Education, Al-Ajilat. The research aimed to identify the level of emotional stability among eighth-semester students in both scientific and literary specializations, and to examine statistically significant differences in emotional stability according to the variable of specialization (scientific vs. literary). The researcher employed the descriptive-analytical method. The study sample consisted of 60 eighth-semester female students across all specializations, including 30 students from scientific disciplines and 30 from literary disciplines, selected from the total research population of 262 students. The Emotional Stability Scale developed by Abu Mustafa Shadi Mohammed (2015) was used as the research instrument. The findings revealed that the overall level of emotional stability among students in the scientific specialization was high, as was the level among students in the literary specialization. Results also indicated a very close similarity in emotional stability between the two groups, with a mean difference of only 0.006, representing a minimal descriptive difference. Furthermore, the study showed that there were no statistically significant differences in emotional stability among female students at the Faculty of Education, Al-Ajilat according to the specialization variable (scientific vs. literary).
