Abstract

The main objective of this study is to investigate the role of information and communication technology in improving the quality of banking services. To achieve this goal, a questionnaire containing 43 questions was used, distributed to (308) employees of Libyan commercial banks within the city of Tripoli. The first hypothesis in this study states that there is no positive effect with a statistical significance between the understanding and awareness of the Libyan commercial bank administrations of the concept and importance of applying information and communication technology in banking activities and the quality of banking services, which denied. The use of information and communication technology in commercial banks and the quality of banking services, which have demonstrated. For data analysis, simple regression, variance, and linear regression coefficients used, according to the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The researcher recommended that there should be full support from the Libyan commercial bank administrations for the use of information and communication technology as a basic entry point for the development of banking work. As for the researchers' future recommendations, studies can conducted on the impact of the quality of banking services on the financial performance of Libyan commercial banks.
