Quality Standards of School Textbooks Reality and Development perspective from the Viewpoint of Basic Education Teachers at AL .Nour Al.Asasi School .Al .Salam Model School

Abstract

The textbook is considered an essential educational and instructional support tool,as it contains the scientific content and the tools that enable learners to acquire knowledge and develop their understanding.this study aims to identify the extent to which the quality standards of the school textbook are consistent with reality from the perspective of primary . stage teachers in Al .Andalus.The descriptive .analytical approach Was used to describe, analyze,interpret the phenomenon and to reach findings that serve the objectives of primary.stage teachers at Al .Salam School .The Study sample comprised (140) teachers,from whom arandom sample of (70) teachers was selected .The questionnaire was distributed to them .and (60) questionnaires were retrieved .Statistical methods were applied to analyze the data .including frequencies, percentages .arithmetic means,standard deviations,and other statistical procedures The study reached the following findidings: 1.. The level of availability of quality standards in the content of the school textbook was moderate ,with variations among the items .Some standards achieved high levels ,whereas others achieved low levels 2..The degree to which quality standards are available in The language and style of the school textbook at the primary education stage was moderate ,with an overall arithmetic mean of (2.95).The standard deviations of the items ranged between ( 2.52) and (3.41) . 3..The quality of the school textbook in terms of its presentation and layout was generally rated as moderste .indicating the need to apply quality standards to its content ,language style, and the overall design of the textbook
